10 Items You Need To Survive The Summer
1. Water bottle
The summers in Zionsville are hot. Make sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated in the heat.
2. Sunscreen
Make sure to pack extra sunscreen. Campers are outside constantly walking to and from programs, playing sports on the Migrash Sport and swimming in the pool.
3. Bug spray
Bug spray is always helpful to wear during evening program, on trips and at our campfire on Shabbat.
4. Shower caddy
These are perfect for schlepping shower items from the cabin to the showers.
5. Shower shoes
Make sure to bring an inexpensive pair of flip-flops to wear in the showers.
6. Extra towels
Towels are placed on the clothesline outside to dry after showering and pool time. Having extra towels on hand is always helpful to have in case your towel doesn’t dry.
7. Laundry bag
A mesh bag is the perfect place for dirty laundry until it’s time to take it to the laundry room. Bags work best over baskets because campers can tie them on the edge of their beds and don’t have to worry about finding a specific space for it.
8. White shirts for tie-dye
There is almost always an opportunity to tie-dye at camp. Pack a white shirt, white shorts, socks, or anything else you can think of to tie-dye!
9. Personal fan
In the heat of the summer the cabins can get a little hot. Personal, battery-powered fans are welcome at camp and can make a big difference if it gets extremely hot.
10. Camera
Since campers are not allowed to have cell phones, make sure to pack a camera to capture all your memories.
