Kallah Bet Trip Week!

By Gabi Schneider, Director of Communications

The last three days, 9349 Moore Road hasn’t been as loud or as filled with campers as the past couple weeks of the session, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t filled with ruach! Every unit on camp had the opportunity to go on a trip ranging from a day off camp to a 3 day camping trip. Unit trips are always the perfect time for campers to bond and get to know others. We’ve provided a recap of what our units did on their trips below and included some photos so you can catch a glimpse of the excitement!

Garin Getaway

Garin went off camp for a surprise day of fun! First stop was the Indianapolis Children’s Museum where they could choose between the different exhibits including Transformers, Hot Wheels and much more! After lunch they hopped back on the bus to their next stop- seeing Minions in 3D!

Shoresh Day Off

Shoresh left camp on Monday for a day filled with surprises. First stop was to the movie theater to see Minions. Next up, the unit went to a park for a picnic lunch where they played on the playground and checked out the labyrinth (maze). Following, the unit hit the bowling lanes and finished with an ice cream stop at Traders Point Creamery!

Yom Tiyul

Gezah enjoyed a sports themed overnight trip! The unit was surprised with a tour of Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Colts. They headed to their campsite next to unpack and have some free time. After dinner they had an NFL program followed by s’mores and a campfire before heading to bed. In the morning they made breakfast and went on a hike before heading back to camp!

Kesher

Anaf headed out for their three day, two night camping trip on Monday. They spent time at Hoosier National Forest where they pitched tents and cooked their own food with the rest of their Kesher group members. During the trip each Kesher group planned and led a program for the rest of the unit. The time spent together as a unit and as individual Kesher groups allowed for the discovery of the true meaning of Kesher, or connection. They went on hikes and spent the second day at the lake complete with a pontoon boat with a slide!
