Shoresh Day Off

By Gabi Schneider, Director of Communications

Yesterday, Shoresh spent the day off camp around Indianapolis having fun! The trip was a surprise and the counselors used underwear to tell the campers it was Shoresh Day Off by spelling it out on underwear!  First up, they headed off camp to go bowling. They had a picnic lunch at a park, went to the movies to see Inside Out, and took a tour of the farm next to camp. They ended the day on camp with some pool time. Our Shoresh campers loved the day and wanted to share with you!

“Something I loved about Shoresh Day Off was going to the farm. We got to spend time with animals and our friends while being surrounded by nature. We also got to learn about the animals and how the farm is still running. Then we got to eat ice cream that the farm made. It was so much fun!” – Sienna Shapiro

“Shoresh Day Off was a fun day full of activities. First, we had a fun match of bowling where we got to embrace our skills. Then we went to West Park to eat lunch, a refreshing and peaceful place. After that, we went to the hilarious movie Inside Out. Lastly, we had a great tour at the Traders Point Creamery, then to finish up we ate some delicious ice cream.” –William Kurlander

“I LOVED Shoresh Day Off. We went bowling, movies, park, creamery. I loved watching Inside Out. I loved the cows. And there was a baby calf.” – Abby Sanders

“It was better than a year off!” – Ari Honig
